The Husbros & Son

“Again, thank you so much for the place, Mr. Hedge.” Daniel Moreno shook the older man’s hand in front of the beach house.

“No, trust me you’re saving me. The people I let stay here up and left, leaving the place a mess. But the summer season is the only time I can make money on this place.”

“If you don’t mind asking, any reason why they left so suddenly?” Steve, Daniel’s husband, asked, picking up their son out of the car and carrying him. Justin had been completely wiped out from the trip. The family car was parked in the overhead area on the right side of the beach house.

“Yeah, they said they decided to go to Cancun.” Mr. Hedge was beyond pissed, then he motioned for the fathers to come closer, “Guess I should also mention the people renting the beach house next door aren’t exactly great neighbors. My tenants told me they had noise complaints and other disturbances. That’s probably why they left now that I think about it. The overweight older man looked off to the other house. “Before that my previous tenant during the spring also said he had noise complaints, but he was mostly a shut in.” He turned back to the family. “All this to say they’re a bunch of college assholes.” Daniel reached over, covering his sleeping son’s ears.

“I tried to talk to my friend Ronald about it. He owns the house over there, but I had to deal with his son. Apparently, he’s in charge now. Didn’t even know my friend had a son. Then again, he did always have a wandering dick, so I’m not surprised.”

“Can’t imagine them giving us too much trouble. We’re just two boring dads.” Daniel said.

A huge understatement, no doubt. Mr. Hedge had let them Airbnb here because they were a safe option. Two gay men with a kid probably wouldn’t get up too much trouble. Mr. Hedge led the couple into the two-story house. The walkway was aligned with small bushes on both sides leading to the front door. The back of the house sat out over the beach, supported with stilts in the sand. The first floor let in a lot of sun. The back wall was modern age window walls, While the front half was wood. Though all the family had to do was draw down the curtains to change that. The kitchen was an open area that shared space with the living room. Besides that, a closet with cleaning supplies, a bathroom, and the deck. That was it for the first floor. Upstairs lead to the bedrooms about 4 each equipped with its own bathroom. The couple only needed two, one for them, one for their son.

At the end of the tour Mr. Hedge handed them the keys. As they all thanked each other.

“So, what do you think?” Steve asked, still holding their son. His own eyes were examining the interior structure of the room. Decked out in a Hawaiian shirt and khaki pants, he looked very much the 53 years that he was. His blonde hair having long since fallen out. He felt it too, even holding his son sometimes could be a challenge, but as a proud construction worker he wouldn’t let that stop him. There was nothing in the world that would stop him from doing everything he wanted to do as a dad.

“It’s perfect.” Daniel, The 55-year-old writer wrapped his arms around his husband kissing him on the face. At 5’8 he was the perfect match height for his husband. There wasn’t much he’d say about himself. He was an average Mexican-American, who found his interest in books rather than people. Now, if he was asked to talk about a place for a story, that was a wormhole. And this beach house was full of inspiration. He could go on to tell his husband about the smell of the ocean, the crash of the waves against the shore, or the sea breeze all contributed to the atmosphere. However, at this stage in their marriage he knew not to talk Steve’s ear off.

Justin was more receptive to Daniel’s authorial words, but the kid was down for now. Daniel smiled looking at his son. Some days he thought his heart would burst from so much love. One day they’d have to tell Justin just how hard they worked to get him, surrogacy, adoption. So many dead ends and rejections. Being a gay couple wasn’t always easy. Daniel and Steve hadn’t planned on being in their 50’s with a young kid, but life had a way of doing whatever it wanted. That’s why until that day they’d have to work hard to show him how much he was loved.

“Alright, I got to take our little man up to bed.” Steve said, turning away. That meant his back was giving him warning signs.

Daniel walked outside onto the deck that faced the ocean. This was going to be a great place for inspiration. This wasn’t just a simple family trip, Daniel had a new novel in mind and wanted to get some notes down in the moment. He leaned out on the wooden handrail soaking up the sun and breeze. His eyes scanned around the area. There was a shirtless young man on the sand at the house next door. They had steps that lead directly onto the beach. He was staring out at the ocean too.

He was a bulky fellow, gifted with broad shoulders, meaty pecs, and at least 6’0ft tall. A strong side profile. Even from a distance his ass was visible. When he turned back to the house, Daniel was sure his ass jiggled. He gave a full view of his handsome face, brown elegant quiff hairstyle, and squared chiseled jaw. Before the young man’s turn was complete, he finally caught sight of Daniel. The older man waved. The young man gave a smile and waved back, before jogging back up into his house.

Daniel smiled leaning off the handrail, “He didn’t seem so bad,” speaking to himself. News about the neighbors may have been vastly overrated. He returned inside to spot Steve in the kitchen.

“You preparing to cook already?”

Steve opened up the oven checking inside. “Well, someone’s got to. Unless Justin and I plan to live off your spaghetti and tacos for the rest of our trip. Can you get the bags? I’ll help you in a minute.”

Rolling his eyes Daniel walked out of the house. His tacos were so good they’d make you want to slap your mother. He laughed remembering when he first told his husband that joke. Wasn’t quite appreciated then. Daniel opened the trunk of his car, pulling out suitcases and food bags.

“Hey, need any help?” A voice caused Daniel to spin on a dime, putting a hand over his heart.

“Woah, didn’t mean to scare you man.” It was the young man Daniel had spotted on the beach moments ago. “Told my friend here we should come say hi.” He pointed to a red head male with windswept hair standing behind him. The other guy was a few inches taller, but also leaner than the first, wearing a tank top and blue swim trunks. Both had very large lumps in the front of their shorts, displaying their limp cocks. “Jason here is on the lacrosse team, while I’m QB for our College’s football team.” He held out his hand, followed by Jason. “I’m Elias by the way.” Daniel noted the young men’s firm grips.

“I’m Daniel. Lovely to meet you and I would love the help. My husband and I can’t really carry things like we use too.” Daniel leaned over grabbing suitcases.

“Getting old is a scam,” Jason laughed, picking up some of the beds with the pots they bought. Elias leaned over and garbed the food bags.

“Hmmm, maybe, but then I wouldn’t be married or have my son.” Daniel hefted the bags while the young men followed him. “ So is it just you two living over there?”

The young men snickered, “Oh no, we have another guy friend and some girls over there.”

They entered the house placing the bags on the ground. Daniel immediately introduced them to Steve. The young men greeted Steve and looked around. Steve offered to make the young men a quick snack as a token of appreciation. They eagerly accepted.

“Woah, that old guy cleans up fast,” Elias whistled, hands on his hips walking in the living room.

“What’d ’ya mean?” Daniel said, as Steve pulled out the food.

“I mean we just had a party here a few days ago with… with,” Elias started snapping his fingers, Jason, “Bryce and Layne!” Elias clapped his hands, “Bryce and Lanye, that’s it.” The two moved into the kitchen. Elias hopped on a counter, while Jason leaned against a few cabinets on the side opposite Steve.

“You guys partied with them?” Daniel asked.

“Yeah, they were pretty cool guys.” Jason stated. “They loved a good time.”

“Really because we heard, it was the other way around.” Steve gave a side eye. He was kind and fatherly, but he wasn’t easily fooled. His husband was a different kind of soft hearted. He took the young men in seeing them as stray pups no doubt, but these guys were wolves. Their charisma, charm, and natural body language hid it well, but it was something in their eyes that Steve didn’t like. One that took him back to being a skinny gay teen surrounded by straight jocks. Oh, Steve knew their kind very well. These college boys were sizing the fathers up.

“Well, we love a good party too,” Jason stated. His ass was indented by one of the cabinet handles, but his cheek was so thick he paid it no mind as he talked on. “I think originally one was studying the sand crabs, but they got bored of that and decided to join us. Then just when things were getting good, they decided to go to Cancun.”

“Jealous?” Daniel asked.

“No way,” Jason said, “Elias is the one who recommended they go.” He pointed over to his friend. “But I don’t need anywhere else. We got the beach, babes, and an inexpensive place. So, I can’t beat that. Especially the last one.”

Steve handed the young men a baloney and cheese sandwich with chips.

“Oh, wow thanks for this,” Jason exclaimed, munching down. Elias hopped off the counter, biting down on his sandwich. He walked to the door and Jason followed. “Thanks, we won’t forget this.”

Daniel waved them off as Jason shut the door. He turned to Steve. “That went well, they seem like reasonable young men.”

“They were all over our cabinets and counters.” Steve sighed, “I think we got a glimpse into our future when Justin’s their age.” Steve continued cooking, while Daniel took out a pocketbook.

There was a certain system to Daniel’s writing process. He used a computer obviously, but for inspiration he would always jot down concepts and half-baked ideas in a pocketbook. The words flowed more freely to him that way. From there he had a series of handbooks that he could write in longer paragraphs and monologues in. Though in truth they were mostly used as a makeshift diary. He had stacked up quite a bit over the years. The period when they were trying to adopt could be an entire trilogy on its own. His diaries could often be used to merge ideas in his pocketbook and create something more concrete. Which worked out well for Daniel; he was a Fiction writer. He didn’t just want to be the gay guy that wrote about the hardships of gay adoption there were already writers who did that better. He’d rather tell a story about an abandoned orphan begrudgingly rescued by two in love, but often feuding male gods.

On this trip Daniel was going to find his spark of inspiration. Then merge it with life or maybe even something on this trip. All he could do was wait and see. Justin came trotting down the steps having gotten lonely. He hopped onto the couch and fell asleep again cuddled up to his father. Daniel smiled, that brought an idea to mind. A protective bear and its cub living by the sea. He jotted it down in his pocketbook. That’s all there was to it, but that’s all the pocketbook was meant for.

Then, Daniel heard a radio being tuned. He turned around to see Steve had actually plugged in their CD player. Music started.

At last…

Steve held out his hand, walking over to his husband. Daniel couldn’t even stop his smile. He gently slid Justin onto a pillow and took Steve’s hand.

my love has come along

The two danced in the living room. Steve placed his head against Daniel’s chest.

My lonely days are over

And life is like a song

The last song they played at their wedding. How years had it been since they walked down that aisle? Too many and yet too few. It was the one-story Daniel knew he would never get tired of writing.

They waltzed out of the open glass door onto the deck. The night air welcomed them as the stars lit their path. Even when both partners had two left feet, their hearts never let them waver. The music faded in the background as the two danced on the deck.

“I’m surprised that Elias didn’t talk more.” Steve said. “Jason had a lot to say though.” Daniel took note of that. Might be good for a story. Funny enough when he met the duo, Daniel was sure Elias was the outgoing one, but why did he stop talking?

“Dinner will be ready soon,” Steve whispered.

“Can’t wait.” The two men pulled away, just enough to kiss each other, then continue their little dance while watching their son sleep peacefully through the glass window. Definitely something Daniel would document in his notebook later.

One week later, neither Daniel nor Steve had experienced any of the collegiate rambunctiousness they had been expecting. The young men and women next door kept mostly to themselves, waving if they happened to catch the other’s eyes.

When Daniel woke up it was due to the seagulls crying. He crawled out of bed slipping on his socks and not disturbing his husband he threw on his robe and was out the bedroom. He went out to the first-floor deck. The ocean was at peace today. As he watched the sunlight spill over the horizon, seagulls landed on the beach. Then Daniel spotted movement out the corner of his eye, heading for the water. It was Elias. In his signature outfit, shirtless. The young man stripped out of the shorts he was wearing, throwing them on the beach. Now the entirety of his tanned body was on display. Even his ass had the correct tan level to match the rest of him. Elias’s dove into the water. Daniel got scared when the young man didn’t come up right away. Before he could do anything though, Elias remarked. His young body battled against the morning waves. His ass was on full display bobbing in and out of the water. Elias would swim along, leaning his shoulder and arm forward he’d cut through the water gracefully and effortlessly.

Grabbing some coffee, Daniel came back, hoping the young man would be gone. Whole thing had been bad for his heart. Instead, he arrived outside in time to see Elias coming out of the water. His cock hung majestically, slapping against his thighs. Daniel looked away respectfully. He didn’t want to be the gay dad people thought were leering.

“Sorry about that!” Daniel turned to see Elias, shorts in hand, standing on the steps below his own house’s deck. “I didn’t think anyone else would be awake.” He had his shorts hung right over his crotch hiding his private parts from view. He turned away as his ass jiggled up the steps. Though no more was said between the two, Daniel got the feeling that Elias wasn’t sorry at all.

Steve almost spit up his own coffee when Daniel told him what happened. “Geez young people these days. Do you think he was coming onto you, or messing with you because you’re gay?”

“I don’t know, it was weird.” He leaned against the counter as his husband put biscuits in the oven. “I just know he better not do that when our son’s out there.”

“Or there is a chance he does that most mornings. And it was an accident.” Steve stated, already hating himself.

“Oh, wow you’re defending the neighbors,” Daniel said with a sly smirk. He was eating this up. “Yet you were the one who said we need to stay alert.”

“I know, but I want us to enjoy this vacation. Not be worried that our neighbors might be the horrible attractive young adults they look like.” He playfully poked his own gut. “Seriously, it’s like they’re a bunch of Ken dolls right off the shelf.”

“Aw, you’ll always be in mint condition to me.” Daniel leaned over. “I’m going to go get Justin.”

Steve watched his husband go upstairs, then quickly checked outside. He didn’t want any repeat performances.

Later that day, the family found themselves on the beach. Elias, Jason, and crew had already been down there playing Volleyball. After seeing that the fathers knew it was too nice of a day to pass up. The other male member of the crew next door, who they hadn’t met was Trey. A tall black male on their college’s swim team. As for the girls, they didn’t introduce themselves and Daniel in Steve decided not to bother. Steve and Justin were down by the water, while Daniel sat back on the shore writing in his pocketbook. Watching his son and husband play in the ocean was so fun.

A body landed right in his lap. It was Trey. The guy didn’t feel light at all even if he was leaner than Jason, every single last part of him was muscle. “I’m so sorry dude.” Trey stood up ball in hand, he had only managed to catch it, rather than hit it back. The problem was his hard cock was pointing straight at Daniel’s face.

“What the hell is wrong with you, fix yourself!”

“What, this?” Trey shook his hips as his cock moved from side to side.

‘You’re going to get arrested for public indecency,”

“But this is just naturally how I am. Also, I can’t help it if I’m more naturally gifted than other guys, Sucks to be them but you can’t blame that on me, can you?”

“No, I guess you can’t,” Daniel had no idea why he said that, but it was the truth right. He looked over at his husband and son; they were unconcerned still messing in the water.

Trey smiled, “That’s right look at those guys.” He pointed at Elias and Jason, waiting for him to bring the ball back. Gone were the limp lumps from before, the two had hard trouser snakes going down the length of their shorts. “It’s all the adrenaline you know.” Trey stated

“Yeah but,” Daniel stammered.

“Fine you win,” Trey smiled. He blatantly shoved his hand into his shorts, grabbed his cock and fixed himself. He even opened his legs and bent his knees to show what a struggle he had to do it. “Only for you, bro.” He headed back into his game. The game went on, and Daniel was able to ignore I’m not that the students were all that interested in him anyway.

Lying in his bed that night, Daniel transcribed what happened at the beach. He dedicated a paragraph to his husband and son, but in the middle seamlessly transitioned into talking about his neighbors next door.

‘They lured my eyesight away. I was but a helpless sailor cast upon shore to fend for myself against their siren song. Their instruments? The hard bodies they had worked to develop over the years. Their notes? Every single grunt exuded when they displayed their strength, slamming into each other, or going for the ball. The performance? The game itself, even falling onto me, and it was executed to perfection.’

Daniel took his pencil off the page. He’d got carried away; he only wanted to describe what happened, not make it appear so poetic. Usually, his notebooks were for his feelings, but for strangers he didn’t even know? Maybe that was a bit much.

“Everything okay babe?” Steve asked, beside him pulling out earphones. “Trouble writing?” It’s something that Steve was used to asking. Daniel didn’t like anyone to read his diaries but didn’t mind sharing his writer’s troubles aloud in the moment. He started to say something but decided against it. The two husbands kissed good night.

Less than 10 minutes after they shut their lights off, music blared from next door. It wasn’t obnoxious, but if they could hear it, even a little, that was a problem. The fathers were just too tired to get out of bed and yell at the College students. So, they fell asleep frustrated.

The next day, Daniel ended up taking Justin out for ice cream. They were also hoping to fool the boy into thinking they weren’t home. Last night’s party seemed pretty deliberate. And they knew the boys wouldn’t care to listen. So, Steve would get some sleep home, while Daniel and Justin got ice cream and slept in the car. Steve barely got 2 hours in before there was a knock at the door.

Steve begrudgingly marched downstairs. Upon opening it he found another college kid dressed, one he hadn’t seen before only in overalls, black tennis shoes, a straw hat, and a green bandanna wrapped around his neck.

“Hey name’s Phil. I maintain Mr. Hedge’s yard in the front and clean the windows.”

“Oh yeah, Mr. Hedge did mention you, but I could have sworn he said your name was Phillipe.” Steve also wanted to mention that he had got the impression Phil was supposed to be older, but perhaps that was his misunderstanding. “Please come in then.” Steve stepped aside, but the young man didn’t move.

“Gotta wait for my partner.” Phil clicked his teeth and pointed to his left as Jason came from next door hopping onto the walkway. He came up to the front door and gave a salute. Steve nearly lost it. Jason was in his boxer briefs, which did nothing to hide the outline of his cock, boots and a red bandana.

“What the fuck do you think you’re doing! You’re not funny. My son could’ve been here.” Steve clenched his teeth.

“But he’s not him and your husband left a while ago.”

“Yeah, but you don’t know when they’ll be back.”

“True, but Elias said it would be okay, so I thought why not.” Jason shrugged, stepping into the house with Phil behind him. Steve shrugged if Elias thought it was a good idea not much he could argue against. Phil collected cleaning supplies from the first-floor closet, and Jason helped. The pair tackled the giant window wall in the back. Steve decided he might as well start preparing lunch. Being in the kitchen however gave him the perfect viewing to watch the young men work. Jason had a boner that would frustratingly rub on the glass. Phil pulled down his overall for a second showing he was indeed naked. Then the boys chuckled silently, which was only evident by the rippling of their abs.

It turned out Jason was right, the duo was finished before Steve’s family came back. Steve would never know how he maintained himself when Phil shook his hand goodbye. The young man’s cock was blatantly pointing towards Steve.

Later in bed that night, Steve told Daniel the truth, “They’re fucking with us. They know we’re gay so to them it’s like ‘let’s show off our bodies!’ And yes, they’re attractive, but I’m sure this should be labeled sexual harassment to some extent.” Daniel peeked up from his notebook, pausing his nightly writing, to give Steve an amused look.

“I’m serious.” Steve huffed like a pouting child.

Daniel leaned over kissing his husband’s blonde beard. “I know you are babe.”

Music started, from beyond their walls. The couple looked at each other, rolling their eyes. Daniel turned to his side and switched the night lamp off. They would try to give the neighbors next door one more chance.

Steve was the first to wake up the next morning. There was another presence in his bed between him and his husband. Turning around, he found Justin nestled in between their two bodies. His son must have had a nightmare. The two had invited Justin to crawl into bed if their door was unlocked, when he had a bad dream instead of waking them up. Steve got up watching his husband and son sleep. He reached for his fuzzy robe. It was royal blue more in line with his sensibilities than Daniel’s imperial purple one. Humming his way downstairs he began to make breakfast.

By the time he was finishing. Daniel came downstairs carrying Justin, who was zonked out and drooling on his shoulder. Steve didn’t notice when Daniel set their son down. That’s why he was surprised when he felt Daniel’s warm arms wrapping him from behind and kissing the back of his neck.

“Morin,” Daniel said. The couple interlocked their fingers. Steve liked the way their wedding rings made a small clang when hitting against each other. They all ate breakfast together then decided to go for a walk on the beach. They couple and son walked around as the cool morning sand spread in between their toes.

“Daddy, can I make a sandcastle?” Justin asked as they neared their rental beach home.

“Oh sure,” Daniel blinked, shocked looking at his husband. Daniel had always been Daddy while Steve was Papa. That wasn’t the shocking part. It had been unspoken, but the couple were unsure if their son was enjoying their trip given that he hadn’t spoken that much. Naturally, Justin was a kid of few words, but new people, especially boisterous ones like their college neighbors, didn’t encourage him to talk.

Steve thought for a minute. They had never properly introduced their son. He was there doing their volleyball game, but it never came up. The couple stopped and sat on the beach, while Justin built a castle. Daniel slipped out his pocketbook.

“How many ideas can you get sitting on a beach?” Steve hit his husband with an elbow playfully.

“You’d be surprised,” Daniel winked.

They heard voices as they spotted Elias, Jason and Trey coming out of their house with a football in hand. No shirts, no shoes, but swimming trunks on. They threw the ball to each other making cheers and other rowdy noises.

Steve watched as Daniel’s attention was slowly pulled to the young men. He would write in his book. Stop. Then start again. Eventually Daniel was fully ogling the college students. His pencil moved furiously as the young men played on.

“Hey, put down the book, let’s play with Justin.” Steve placed a hand on Daniel’s arm. His husband looked at him.

At that moment Justin’s sandcastle exploded. The football the athletes had been tossing plummeted right into it as sand went flying in all directions. There was laughing from Jordan and Trey. Elias shrugged, “Sorry, little dude.”

“What the heck is wrong with you?!” Steve said, looking past his husband. Then he heard a small snicker beside him. Daniel tried to cover his lips that had just betrayed him. “Are you laughing at our son?” Steve’s voice was pointed.

“Come on babe, you have to admit it’s kinda funny.” Daniel said.

“How can you even say that?” Steve was astounded. But maybe what pissed him off most wasn’t the college student or his husband, but the fact that some small part of him agreed. He wasn’t as rude as Daniel to say it out loud though. If his son didn’t want his castle destroyed, he shouldn’t have been playing near the game. Disgusted with himself, Steve got up and walked with his son back to the house. He left Daniel on the beach. He couldn’t look at his husband.

When Daniel finally came back in the house, it was dark outside, and he was sweating profusely. He sauntered in, wiping his forehead. The frown lines on his head were truly showing. He looked every bit his age.

“Where have you been”? Steve rushed over worried. He put his hand on his husband’s head.

“Don’t worry I’m not sick. I was playing around with the guys. Tossing the ball back and forth.” Daniel kindly removed Steve’s hand, walking to the fridge to get a drink.

“The guys? Daniel, those boys are more than 30 years your junior. We can’t exactly compete with them physically.”

“They invited me, and I joined.” Daniel said smugly.

They were on the verge of a fight, but before one could develop. The music from next door started up earlier than usual. Both of the men groaned.

“Ugh, putting Justin to bed with this is going to be a pain.”

“No, it’s not.” Steve slammed a hand on the counter. “I’ve had enough.” With that Steve called 311 and reported a noise complaint. Then he continued on with dinner, 20 minutes later they saw the familiar red and blue color of a police car coming in through their windows. They were in the middle of a family dinner when they heard the cop’s car door shut. A few minutes later the music cut off. Justin was sent to go take a bath, while his dad washed and dried the dishes. By the time Justin fell asleep the music started up again.

“That’s it!” Steve took off outside.

“We should leave them alone.” Dan shouted but made no effort to chase his husband.

Once outside, Steve heard Elias from next door say, “Thanks for stopping by.” Before closing his door, the college student waved to the cop sitting on his police cruiser. The cop wasn’t alone; there was a female on his lap. Steve marched down there to ask him just what had happened to stop the noise or at least quieting it. The closer Steve got the less sure he got about confronting the cop all due to the woman’s quiet moaning and the car rocking. Once correctly positioned Steve saw that the female was not just on his lap, she was riding him. His uniform pants were around his ankles as his cock was buried to the hilt inside of her.

“Woah,” the cop got his partner to stop. She gave Steve the stink eye. “Can I help you with something, man?”

Steve couldn’t believe the department would send such a young cop to handle college students. Him and the guy’s next door were probably all on the same page thinking people like Steve and Dan just needed to chill out. Steve simply walked away hearing the car begin to rock again as he did.

David was the first to wake up the next morning. His head was ringing like the weirdest hangover, but he didn’t have alcohol last night. The more he could string along his thoughts the more he realized the throbbing in his head was pain. It was music. The same songs and electronic dance music the house next door played throughout the night. Seems it had finally creeped into Daniel’s head and gotten stuck, it was bothersome at first, but it became debilitating when Daniel realized he couldn’t gather his thoughts to write a single coherent sentence. Even when Steve and Justin came down for breakfast, Daniel sat grumpy on the couch unable to write. Lunch rolled by and then Steve got worried.

“Honey, eat this.” Steve stood beside the couch handing his husband lunch.

Daniel looked up as if he had been million miles away. “Huh? Oh no, you guys go ahead and eat. I need to write.”

“We already ate. Finished half an hour ago. Justin went back upstairs, and I watched you while I washed the dishes. You didn’t move at all. You just sat here with your legs hiked up on the coffee table and your pen in hand.” Steve hiked up his pants legs before sitting on the couch’s arm. “Need to take a walk to get rid of this writer’s block? I can go get Justin.”

“No, don’t worry.” Daniel stood up stretching. “I’ll go on a walk and clear my head. You two stay here and enjoy yourselves.” He gave his husband a kiss and then was out the door. The moment he stepped outside Daniel looked next door. The music had gotten even louder. Why wouldn’t it stop? He walked over to his neighbor’s house, then knocked on the door When he opened it. Jason was standing there in his boxers, A hint of his long cock visible through the slit.

“Morning neighbor! What’s up?” The redhead young man said with his all-American smile.

The music Daniel had been hearing up to that point stopped and his resolve disappeared with it. “I—I don’t know what I’m doing here?” He stammered and rubbed his head.

“Well, come in, maybe we can help remind you.” Jason opened the door wider as Daniel walked in. The house had a large living room area. A large sectional sofa with a TV across from it. A sofa huge as it had to be a series of connected separate sofas. To sit on the left or the right meant someone was on the opposite side of the room. Relaxing on the sofa was, Trey. He watched as Daniel fumbled about checking out their summer home.

Then, Daniel stepped on something, it was laying on top of the white carpeted floor in the living room, He lifted his foot looking down.

“Looks like you found Elias’ jock strap.” Trey laughed.

Jason put a hand on Daniel’s neck. “What are you going to do about it?”

The men had grins like they had an inside joke, but Daniel couldn’t decipher. Was it with the jock strap? After all, it certainly didn’t look used though that’s what they claimed. Daniel brought it to his nose and began sniffing. Daniel heard the two men laughing at him, but he couldn’t do a single thing as his mind entered a fog. Then he was naked standing only in his socks and tennis shoes with no idea how he got that way.

The first thing to disappear on Daniel’s face were the wrinkles he accrued over the years. Slowly his face became Smoother, softer. His legs and spine soared up as he began to grow. He threw back his head, moaning. He was leaving 5’ft 8in behind to reach 6’3. Though his body had been stretched something had to be done about all the weight he accrued over the years.

Daniels’s fat vibrated as if alive on its own and burned itself away. In return his whole body pulsed and throbbed in ecstasy. His thighs started the process as his muscles swelled, sculpting themselves. Daniel couldn’t even muster up a single strand of resistance. Every ounce of fight he had was converted into pleasure, which led to his muscles bulging even harder.

The belly Daniel had melted away. It shook with ferocity as it tightened into cobble stones. Daniel put his head back to watch as muscles etched themselves into existence. The abs only got thicker and deeper as the change continued. Daniel inspected his new toros with his hands running his fingers along the ridges.

That’s when he noticed the jock strap was gone, no longer in his hand. Instead, it was now perched on him. Daniel worried, when had he even slipped it on? The straps pressed into his ass as his cheeks grew harder and firmer. The whole thing was getting tight but now He had a lower body fit for running. Legs that could cause and impact like a bucking horse. He blew a load into his jock strap. Most of his wild pubic hair disappeared, but enough remained to spill over the waistband. Light hairs began to sprout up to his navel then continuing upwards onto his pecs. It flowed in the opposite direction too. The hair spilled out of his ass, onto his cheeks, over his thighs then, down his calves and shins. So light, so faint, one probably wouldn’t even know his legs had hair from a distance.

The hair on his chest was a signal for his pecs to jutt out. They were taking the leftover fat and converting it into pure musculature. His shoulder reshaped, forming a new broadness for a younger male. That change flowed down into his arms. With no more fat everything could be stacked with muscle. His biceps bulked, shooting more growth into the forearms. Had he still been wearing his clothes he would have torn through them, with his sheer size. His veins bulge out pumping more of his transformation into his system. The same small thin hairs on his legs adorned his arms. His hands no longer felt like blocky nubs, rather meaty and proportionate thick digits as his fingers grew.

The process wasn’t over yet; his feet were next in the order. He was going to need something stronger than his size 10 to support his new body. The soles of his feet stretched longer, pulling on the fabric of his socks. Then his shoes tried to hold his feet back, but it was impossible his feet tore through. Making it look like he was wearing talking shoes. His growth wasn’t done yet his toes had to stretch a bit more to correct themselves. Daniel’s mouth fell open at the size 13 holding him up.

Daniels’ vocal cords fell under assault next. They needed to morph in the same way to fit who he was becoming. His voice became younger, less strained in places, but also reached an alternate lowered pitch. Deep breaths kept his lungs growing with a greater capacity to hold air. He needs that when on the field competing. His face changed, growing a more prominent jaw line. With no fat it could properly take center stage. Then like a gift Daniel felt his hair regrowing with a vibrancy it hadn’t before. Dark curls littered his head.

For a moment Daniel understood what was happening as Jason and Trey looked on, he didn’t understand the how or why, but he was being infected by their youth. Their youthful energy was contagious and brought him back to his college years. Not his college years but one of a stud. Jason held up a phone to show Daniel what he looked like. Daniel filled his jock strap with another large helping of cum.

With his balls properly drained they began expanding along with his cock. His package grew becoming obscenely obvious. The tent he was creating was impossible to ignore. His cock connected to Jason’s abs. Jason had moved forward giving an even closer view of Daniel’s handsome face. Now the waistband of the jockstrap wasn’t even touching Daniel’s skin anymore. The front of the jock was getting soaked int pre. Daniel looked down and he was making a mess. He stuck a hand into his jock and stuck his cock out the left side. Once he connected to his cock, he could take his hand off and stroked himself.

Daniel couldn’t hold off everything that had happened to him was like the best edge in existence and he was finally at the end. Daniel roared as his body quaked and he released the best orgasm in his life down the side of his leg. It almost seemed like his balls would never empty as the load just kept coming. His 9.5-inch cock spewed his white hot cum endlessly onto the floor, as Daniel sensed a disconnect. Like he was floating away. His smarts, his memories, his love of literature all forced down to his balls and pumped out.

The fog in Daniel’s mind was even worse now, as he was essentially a blank slate with nothing but fog. The perfect vessel to fill up. Sports, his bros, working out, partying and sex with girls filled his mind. A jock who was a pure corn-fed himbo. An overgrown and beefy wall of muscle, but no brains whatsoever. The wedding ring on his finger disappeared and turned into a cross necklace around the thick country boy’s neck.

Jason and Trey let out cheers as Dan, nicknamed ‘Dan the Man’ was born. Dan stuffed his fat deflating cock back into Elias’s, now his, jockstrap. Dan couldn’t get how his bros ever thought the jockstrap was Elias’, it fit Dan just right.

Steve had come downstairs seeing Justin playing in the living room.

“Hey, have you seen your dad?”

“Nope.” Justin continued to play with his toys.

Steve tried to call him but got no answer. He decided to call after dinner, perhaps Daniel was still clearing his head. While they were eating the stupid music from next door began playing. Steve was frustrated but pretended not to be for Justin. He ended up sending his son to bed. When he called Daniel again, he finally got an answer.

“Hello?”

“Hey Daniel, is that you? Why do you sound like that?” There was obnoxious music in the back, Music Daniel recognized.

“Like what? Who is this? How’d you get my number?”

“Wait, Daniel, are you drunk?”

“Course I am, why wouldn’t I be?”

Another voice came from the background on Daniel’s end, “Yo, Dan hang up and have fun.” The call ended.

Steve huffed, that was Trey’s voice paired with the music. Daniel had to be next door. Had he seriously stepped out just to join the young guy’s next door? Something had to be up with him Daniel had never acted like this. Perhaps a mid-life crisis. Worried about his husband, Steve checked his son was in bed, then stormed over to the next-door neighbors.

He didn’t knock; Steve banged on the door. Even the loud music had to submit to what sounded like a swat team ready to charge in. The door opened and Trey was standing there naked Not a single ounce of clothing on him. Steve’s mind went blank as his eyes drifted down. There was one thing on Trey, a condom. It was stuffed around the large black anaconda that hung between his thighs.

“Hey, you’re here about the music right. Sorry, but we gotta keep it going or else you’d hear all the moaning next door. The girls are moaners.” Trey smirked, leaning on the door frame.

There wasn’t time for this. Steve pushed his way inside brushing Trey aside. The black 21-year-old stud simply let it happen, Steve came into the living room where the guys of the house were all fucking girls, and they were no doubt moaning in pleasure. Elias sat on the sofa sitting like a king as three girls crawled all over him, beer in hand. Steve didn’t like the intense stare Elias gave him. Jason hadn’t stopped fucking his girl missionary style. He lifted his head up giving Steve a wink. Steve’s eyes landed on a new guy he hadn’t seen before. The dude was massive, as tall as Jason but beefier. He had a curly quiff hairstyle as if emulating Elias’ own hair, except his curls provided a more artistic and relaxed look. A girl was sitting in his lap, as they both faced Steve. When Steve entered, the guy had stop fucking his girl as his eyes locked onto Steve, he didn’t say anything only stared. Steve became unsettled. It started in his chest and spread outward. He needed to find his husband and get out of the house.

“You feel that?” Elias had girls kiss along his body as he talked to Steve.

The unsettling feeling inside of Steve began to change to a tingle. Almost ticklish. A grin began to form on Steve’s face. His height stretched his body out, torso and legs fighting to see which could reach its new length first. Spams overtook his muscles as he reached 6’2. Then his chest began to change. Soft moobs shifted up and hardened as pec took their place expanding. They grew thicker and heavier with each breath Steve took. From there, his abs began to outline themselves on his body. Steve bit his lip. Elias snapped his fingers and Steve’s clothes were gone. Then Trey plopped a baseball cap on to Steve’s head.

A force in Steve’s legs caused his thighs to balloon out with solid muscle. The thunder thighs Steve had, would now be called that for a whole new reason. Then it flew down into his calves. The muscle couldn’t help adding onto itself as if Steve had worked out at the gym for years. There’d be no one he couldn’t match in a race, from this day onward. Steve’s ass perked up as it became one belonging to a demigod; thick and plump.

The arms couldn’t be forgotten as they readied themselves with false years of batting and throwing into their muscle memory. Steve’s triceps and biceps swelled, making it child’s play for him to deliver home runs endlessly. Next his hands reshaped into something that could slip into a big mitt perfectly. He could slap his teams perfectly on their huge asses. Then his feet took its cue to grow. His legs had already reached their growth point, and now his toes were morphing. Finally, they were masculine stompers fit for cleats.

Hair flowed out from under Steve’s cap majestically, spun like golden wear and curling at the very edges. As a consequence of such glorious flow, the hair on his other body parts fell off disappearing into nothingness. He got a new bush around his crotch as under his armpits reflected Elias’ own. Once all the body hair was gone, Steve fell back on his ass, released from a mysterious grasp. The wedding band around his finger distorted and morphed into a college world series championship ring.

“What the hell is happening to me?” Steve managed to stammer.

“Nothing, you’re just becoming a bro. Though you have to get in the right mindset before we finish. And gotta tweak your sex drive just in case can’t be having no one pump chumps,” Elias said.

Steve looked around wanting to call out to someone, anyone. But neither the girls nor the guys were paying attention to him. When he tried to call for help his neck bulged shifting as his cries became moans. Each one he released sounded more in tune with the way Elias and his friends spoke. Deep in pitch and void of any depth of thought or complex emotion. Steve’s head started to remold itself as his cheekbones shifted under his skin and his chin pushed Out. Steve’s eyes became a beautiful ocean blue. Next his memories were the victims of his change. The cap on his head buzzed as his mind rewrote itself. Memories of his family, cooking skills, and job all under assault. That left room for his interest in baseball and wowing women to take root. Nights of partying, late night drinking, and sex popping into his head. Steve knew it was true, He dedicated his life to staying in shape and having the best ass on his team. Girls couldn’t get enough of it. As for all that other stuff? It got shunted down—down below to Steve’s balls. Those twin babymakers grew active as they expanded, churning his precious memories into alpha sperm. Unlike Daniel, Steve’s smart drained as much, rather his kindness and humbleness became the perfect baby batter. His nuts got bigger and bigger, perfect to be two baseballs in their own rights. Steve’s cock had a great feast, growing longer and thicker until it was 10 inches. His cock ached for release.

“Cum with us,” Elias said

Every single guy had been fucking a girl as Steve transformed and now, they were about to bring to girls to climax. Steve lost his load as a grunt from the guys joined a chorus of moans from the ladies. Ropes of cum hit Steve in the eyes then landed on his chest. Then again, he wasn’t Steve he was Stu. Stu was a cocky and arrogant jock that loved to show off. That’s why he’d taken place in the center of the room as an attention seeker.

Stu realized he had cum without a woman’s touch and wondered how he got in the center of the room alone. Elias explained Stu and his friend Dan had been other people before coming to the beach house, but they had given into their true selves. Though Elias hadn’t clarified what ‘other people’ meant. For some reason Steve didn’t question Elias; he didn’t feel the need to.

Dan and Stu didn’t come back to their house until 3am in the morning. Copying Elias’ normal outfit, they both happened to return from their night partying without shirts, only shorts. Both were drunk off their ass, but it was Stu who had to support his big lug of a roommate inside. They staggered in trying not to fall in the darkness. They tumbled up to their room on autopilot to get drunk to think about what they were doing. Stu laid Dan on the bed, then got on the other. He walked to the other side and brushed past Dan’s feet. The dude was so large his feet hung off the bed. Stu was too drunk to care. They were in the same bed, falling asleep.

Dan was the first to wake up, due to someone kneeing him in the stomach. His eyes flared open when he felt the small pressure. Not a lot of power behind it, but enough to be annoying. Surprisingly all he saw was the back of Stu’s blonde head on a pillow. Dan tilted his head toward the lower part of the bed. He reeled back in shock. Moving carefully, he arched his arm to poke Stu.

“Hey, hey,” Dan whispered, not letting up on his body moving pokes.

“What?” Stu said sleepily with a hint of anger.

“There’s a little brosef in the bed man.” Dan said.

Stu furrowed his eyebrows, facing the wall. He had no idea what Dan was going on about. Next time he’d make the guy sleep in his own bed. Angry Stu flipped around, only to scream and fall off the bed. There was a kid in pajamas lying on top of the bed in between the two bros. Dan got up and went to check on his friend.

“You, okay?”

“Do I look, okay? Not to mention there’s some weird kid in our bed,” Stu accepted Dan’s hand as he got onto his feet.

“Where do you think he came from?”

“I don’t know, why don’t you try using your own brain.” A pointless endeavor, Stu knew Dan was as bright as a blown-out Christmas light. He looked down at the kid. “This is creepy as shit. You know horror movies start this way. The kid is going to wake up telling us we got 7 days to live.” Stu may have been the brains in his friendship, but he wasn’t exactly a genius anymore.

“Should we put him outside?”

“He’s not a cat.” Stu put his hands under his chin. How were they going to deal with this kid? Who, hopefully, would not kill them when he woke up? Was this kid Mr. Hedge’s grandson? No, that didn’t make sense.

The young men talking to each other, caused the kid to wake up. He rubbed his eyes, yawning as he stared at the strangers. Stu breathed an internal sigh of relief the kid didn’t have black eyes or a demonic voice. The bros souls were safe for now.

“Where’s my dad?”

“Uh?” The two young men looked at each other. Stu mouthed, “Do you know his dad?’ Dan shook his head, mouthing back, ‘you?’. Stu also shook his head. They were at a loss.

“Hey, lil bro what’s your name?” Dan asked.

“Justin,” The boy answered. “But I’m not supposed to talk to strangers.”

“That is good advice. But um, you want to explain how you got in our rented house?” Stu crossed his arms, and Justin tilted his head confused. This was the worst. Stu should have been getting it on with babes, not trying to locate a kid’s family. He was denying girls the gift of seeing his body. Then an idea popped into his head. He couldn’t believe he had only realized it now. He dragged Dan out into the hallway.

“I think that kid might be one of ours. You know how Elias was saying we were like other people and some shit. One of us was a single dad.” Stu concluded.

“Oh that’s awesome! I think, but who’s kid do you think he was?”

Stu smirked grabbing his pouch, “Not that I’m denying my own little swimmers, but only you’d be stupid enough to knock up a girl.”

Dan chuckled dumbly, “Yeah, I guess you’re right,” not realizing he had just been insulted.

Stu patted him on the back. “Lucky little dude, now he’s got a stud for a father.” Elias hadn’t really told them what kind of losers they were before, but they had to have been right? There would have been no reason to have changed unless their lives were awful. They were so blessed to have found Elias and by that logic so was this. Stu watched as Dan grew this really awed look staring at Justin in the room. The realization he had been a father was amazing to him.

“Stu, how do I take care of a kid?” Dan asked. He knew nothing about kids or taking care of one. Elias must have taken that out of his head. Though Dan didn’t understand why, those things seemed super important if he had one. Then again Dan knew he didn’t understand most things. Thinking was hard; it was easier to let Stu do all the thinking for him.

“How hard can it be? Kids are like mini adults.” Stu said, marching back into the room.

Justin watched as they came back in. The bigger one moving slower than before. The kid was confused. Last night he was sure he crawled into bed with his dads. Though he hadn’t noticed there were less of them when he got in. Stu stood in front and did an introduction as he said. “Here’s your new and improved dad.” Justin thought Stu sounded like the people that gave away free cars on TV. He watched as Dan kneeled in front of the bed.

“Hey son,” Dan shook Justin’s hand like the boy was a porcelain doll. Then again anything trapped in Dan grasped could easily be crushed. “Maybe you could tell us where your mom is.”

“I don’t have a mom, I have two dads,” Justin’s answer was so straight forward it caught the two young men off guard. Stu was thinking. So, either Justin had a stepdad through shenanigans, or his dad were gay. And if Dan was one of the dad’s chances are Stu was the other. That didn’t make sense though, he didn’t know shit about this kid. He also didn’t give a shit, but he did at least pretend to care Dan would get upset.

Stu sighed as Dan turned to him confused. “You know what he’s saying, right?” Stu asked.

“I got you pregnant?” Dan said it was completely serious.

“Like hell,” Stu rolled his eyes, “That’s not how that works. And if it did. It’d be pretty obvious I’d be the one that got you pregnant. You may be big but I’m bigger where it actually counts.” Stu smirked.

“You don’t think I could do it?” Dan stood up agitated. Stu scoffed, he knew Dan couldn’t do it. Even if they had been losers. Even if they had been gay. Stu was sure he wasn’t taking it from behind from Dan. Before the boys could blow up at each other there was a gurgling sound.

Justin held his stomach. “I’m hungry.” The two decided to postpone their argument for another time. They all walked downstairs to the kitchen. Stu opened the fridge to see how well packed it was but it was full of ingredients, nothing already cooked or any leftovers. This was bad. Stu had the culinary knowledge of a common college student. The only things he knew how to make were sandwiches and ramen noodles. Then he spotted a cereal box on top of the stove. They were saved! No one was going to starve this morning.

“Papa says I shouldn’t eat too much sugar in the morning.” Justin stated.

Dan retrieved bowls from the cabinets, displaying his height as he easily grabbed them, “How about we only give you a little bit as your dads we can—”

Stu grabbed Dan’s arm and pulled him off to the side. He enjoyed how he could make the big behemoth follow him around with a firm grip, “I don’t think we should tell this kid we’re possibly, most likely, his dads.”

“Why not?”

“Because it wouldn’t make sense to a kid. Elias should explain.” Dan nodded at that last part of course Elias would have all the answers. Stu slapped Dan on the abs with the back of his hand. “Follow my lead.” Stu strutted over to the kid. “Justin, your dads had to go away for a bit and they left us in charge. Think of us as your older brothers.” Stu smirked at that. He wasn’t going to be some runts rundown dad. He was much more suited to a brotherly role. “And we like to have fun.”

“We say sugar for breakfast!” Dan roared, shaking the box as Justin laughed. All three guys had a great time eating on the Surface. Though Dan and Stu kept trading looks back and forth between each other. A child meant they were gay. They couldn’t get over that. Why hadn’t Elias mentioned the kid? When they were done eating the two asked Justin to go get dressed, they were going to introduce him to Elias. The two meanwhile went to their room to get dressed.

“Whose kid do you think he is?” Stu asked, kicking off his shorts.

Dan tilted his head unsure of the question. He took off his own pants. The two young men, quite used to locker rooms in their lives, had no problems seeing another male naked.

“As in whose nutsack do you think he came out of? I mean one of us must have knocked up a girl to get him.”

“Can’t people adopt?” Dan asked, unsure of himself. He knew very little of the world and even then, he had to be corrected a lot.

“I guess, but he looks like you.” Too bad the kid probably wasn’t going to grow up to be even a percentage of hot they were.

“Really? I think he looks like you.”

“Hmmm, interesting.” Stu said before he went looking for clothes. His mind was preoccupied with what he was going to do next. Once he found some, he started putting it on paying no mind to how the clothes shifted around his body to something more appropriate to his new age range. Dan’s clothes did exactly the same except , Dan definitely noticed when his clothes shifted to something else.

“You see that?” Dan pointed to his new polo, “My shirt changed.”

“Yeah, you changed your shirt, good for you,” Stu gave a petty clap congratulating Dan like he was a small child. They needed to settle the business with this kid. Then Stu could start living it up.

The three males, all dressed, walked next door. It was Dan who knocked with his large hands as he stood next to Stu with Justin in front of them both. The door opened as an exhausted Trey rubbing his eyes opened the door.

“Don’t you guys have any idea what time it is?” the young man said for once in their time here. Trey was wearing a regular outfit. Besides his muscles being visible through the shirt his outfit did nothing to show him off as he and his friends clearly liked to do. It was a trait that even Stu related to. Stu had even expected Trey to answer shirtless with long pajama pants but now he just seemed normal. “You guys are supposed to sleep and get your energy back.”

“Well, we were sleeping and we may have slept more but,” Stu lightly rubbed Justin’s head. Trey had to look down because he hadn’t even bothered to look out of his line of sight. “This little dude whose parents are apparently,” Stu’s eyes shifted between him and Dan. “But we’re not even sure if that part is even true. All we know,” Stu leaned forward so Justin couldn’t hear, “This kid was in our place, Weird right?”

Trey sighed, “Not weird at all when he’s yours. But why are you guys here? Surely you could have guessed that even if you didn’t want to believe it?”

Dan started to speak up, “We were thinking that maybe Elias could help. Like tell us who we were as parents. Not much else we can do for the kid.”

Rubbing the back of his head Trey gave a look that didn’t inspire any confidence, “Yeah, that’s not going to happen.”

“Why not? Elias is our bro. Bros help bros out.” Dan chanted with his boisterous voice.

Trey sucked on his teeth. Then groaned, “Look you didn’t hear this from me, but Elias hates kids. Hates them. Right now, you’re probably thinking: if he can’t help us remember,” Trey pointed to Justin, “he’ll make things better by changing him. Let me tell you now. That’s not how Elias works. He takes old people and makes them young again. Doesn’t care for anything else. He hates aging and loves the college years.”

Justin was very confused but stood politely as the giants talked above him.

Stu covered Justin’s ears, “Wait, but what are we supposed to do with a kid we’re no longer qualified to take care of. What did Elais think was going to happen?”

“Guess he thought you’d throw him out on the street. Probably should, he makes you guys feel old. Young guys with a kid. Weird.” Trey did a body shiver like he was disgusted then closed the door.

“That’s fucked.” Dan stated.

The boys walked back home. Dan and Stu feeling less confident than they did before. Something had shifted inside them. Before talking with Trey, the two boys had an unshakable belief in Elias. But Trey’s words had chipped at their faith a bit. Elias had changed their lives for the better, hadn’t he? So why was there a kid they couldn’t remember? Was not remembering him or how to take care of him for the better?

Didn’t take long before the young men got their first lesson in parenting: Beware the sugar rush. There was a reason Justin’s parents didn’t shovel sugar into his mouth. It began simple enough Justin asking questions as children do. Why did his parents choose them? how’d they get so tall? How do they get all those muscles? Then the questions stopped but Justin didn’t stop talking. He started walking around, until he was running. Dan and Stu had to chase the child around. The child was a bit of a demon.

“Man, this sucks!” Dan said as they entered their bedroom. Which they realized had 100% been their bedroom as a couple. Earlier they would have been quick to claim they must have made a terrible gay couple. Maybe fighting or arguing and shit, but Stu thought Justin was a pretty well-adjusted child. He missed his dads pestering the young men when they were coming back. Luckily, they got him to play downstairs for a while.

“This more than sucks. Trey was right, I’m too young and handsome to be strapped down with a kid.”

“Can’t you show some compassion? “Dan set his hands on his hips. “In a way our little bro lost two dads.”

“Compassion? I don’t care about that kid. I just want him out of our hair so we can get our dicks wet. While I do think it’s cruel to leave him on the street like Trey suggested, doesn’t mean I want him. Do you?”

“I mean, no.” Dan said in his very dumb deep jocular voice. He didn’t want a kid, but he also recognized he was too stupid to take care of one even if he did. He was the kind of guy that would set the house on fire trying to cook. Dan’s skills were suited to sports fields and the countryside.

“That’s what I thought. Now help me look around.” Stu started digging through drawers. “There’s got to be information about the kid or about the old us.” Dan went through the closet. Shuffling through clothes. He passed by an outfit and the fabric of it changed. Stu caught sight of it but didn’t say anything. He found some papers tossing them aside. When it connected to the floor, it turned into old college essays.

Dan was at the nightstand and pulled it open, “Look at all these books.” He grabbed a notebook out and Stu turned in time to see it morph into a small spiral binder. “Wow, these are some old class notes, glad I can throw them away now,” Dan chuckled as he went to crab another.

“DON’T!” Stu got up moving Dan aside he grabbed the books holding them. Dan had a shocked look on his face. Carefully holding the books Stu held one up, “Whenever you touch something that belongs to the old you it changes. I watched you go through the closet and I think all your clothes changed to cool stuff.”

“I didn’t notice that.”

“I don’t think you can.” Stu admitted.

“Ohhhh,” Dan touched the side of his forehead as in ‘mind blown’, “That explains why you weren’t reading those papers you tossed aside.”

“Papers? It was just old home…Shit! It’s happening to me too.” Stu sat down on the bed with the books, “Okay here’s what will do. Let’s go through each other’s stuff and see what we find.”

The young men switched off, but 20 mins later Dan hadn’t found anything. Stu however was still sitting on the bed. He hadn’t gotten up at all after suggesting they switched. He was just laughing to himself.

“Found anything?” Dan asked.

“No but listen to this you wrote: ‘I love Steve so much. There are days I can’t even begin to describe it. Today, I watched him sit on the windowsill, people watching, the warm sunlight rays on his body. There’s a quiet tranquility when he watches the world. As if he understands the universe and I’m lucky enough to experience it with him.’” Stu laughed. “Fucking mushy. Guess I was this Steve person.”

“I don’t think you should laugh.” Dan mumbled.

“Why the fuck not, huh? It’s a loser gay due writing a love letter about his loser husband.” Stu blinked, “What’s up with you? Normally you’d die at shit like this.”

“Maybe, but we’re those gay dudes. Doesn’t it feel wrong?”

Stu was going to reply with a comeback, but he stopped himself. When he read, Stu hadn’t been thinking of Daniel and Steve as their former selves, just characters in a book. But Dan, no brain between the ears had a point. This wasn’t about a hypothetical person, it was a passage about him. “Did you find anything?” Stu asked, wanting to change the subject.

Dan shook his head,” No you just had a bunch of work papers and blueprints for things I don’t; even get.” Dan stood up, “I’m going to go play with Justin to make sure he’s okay.” He really just needed to expel some energy being a fit jock his muscles craved to be used regularly.

As for Stu he stayed in the room and decided that he should take his job a bit more seriously. They were supposed to be looking for more information about their old selves. Eventually, Stu came downstairs when he was ready to eat some dinner. Dan and Justin were on the floor. Justin had his toys scattered about while Dan was laying beside him. But instead of playing with the toys they were playing on a tic-tac-toe board. Made sense to Stu, he just couldn’t see Dan playing chess or checkers. Dan smiled, seeing Stu walk in the room.

“Hang on.” Dan got up walking with Stu to the corner of the room.

“So, I went through one of your diaries. Apparently, your family knew about us and I had a sister who watched him.”

“Nice!” Dan held up his hand for a high five.

“Not quite.” Stu put Dan’s hand down. Then he went into his pockets, pulling out two cell phones. My phone and yours don’t have any contacts for our family, which is weird as fuck. All I got listed are my bros.”

“Me… too?” Dan said surprised as he scrolled down. Of course, he’d have his bros but, why didn’t he have his parents listed? Before he could ask Stu there was a pull on his pants legs.

“I’m hungry again,” Justin had appeared by their side while they were nose deep into their phones. The two young men locked eyes with each other clueless.

“Uhh, Let’s order pizza,” Stu blurted.

“Pizza!” Dan and Justin shouted, The two are happy for separate reasons. For Dan pizza was a staple of a college kids’ body. It was the food that bonded men and brothers for life. Justin however had never gotten to eat pizza, His Papa tended to keep everyone eating tasty but healthy food. Justin never got to eat out like the other kids at his school did.

Stu called for the pizza, while Justin went back to his toys. The doorbell rang and Dan walked over answering it. Standing there in a tight pink shirt and sky-blue shorts. was Jason. He was leaning against the door frame with a smile on his face.

“What’s up Dan the man!” Him and Dan shook hands before going into a hug. “Elias sent me over. We didn’t get any invitation to your party tonight. He wanted to know why.”

“We’re not having a party.”

Jason laughed before he noticed Dan wasn’t, “Are you serious? No party? That’s never happened. People always have a party,” Jason brushed past him into the house. His demeanor deflated when he spotted Stu and Justin simply loitering about. Jason left disappointed. Dan watched him go as Jason took several looks back.

Eventually the pizza came, and the boys all had a great time eating. Stu started reading another one of Daniel’s diaries while they ate. Dan and Justin returned to playing tic-tac-toe before moving onto snakes and ladders. Eventually, Dan ended up roping Stu into tossing a football around with them. Neither of them knew where the ball had even come from. By nighttime the two put Justin to bed then returned to their own room.

“Are we going to sleep in the same bed?” Dan asked unsure.

“Well technically we are…were married.” Stu said not sounding so confident himself.

“But we’re both straight and no offense Stu, but I don’t want to sleep with you.” Dan argued.

Stu held up his hand, “I know, I’m not hot about sleeping with you either, but listen to this.” Stu sat on the bed taking out the notebook he had been reading at dinner. “ ‘I didn’t have any words for Steve today. He didn’t have any for me either. Another let down. The moment we came home Steve went straight to bed. He wasn’t angry at me; I knew that much. But how many times can we be expected to face rejection, these agencies demand endlessly that we be the perfect gay couple, have our house, and finances in order. Not only do we meet these requirements we excel far beyond them. How strong do they expect us to be? Regardless Steve and I won’t simply give up.’” Stu stopped reading.

“What’s your point?”

“My point is, I’m not a quitter.” Stu held up this book, “And I don’t know the gay version of us, but apparently, they weren’t either. They may have been losers, but they weren’t quitters.” Stu sat the book on the bed. “You were right, I shouldn’t have laughed at your former feelings. They really wanted a kid. This notebook is full of stories just like that one, and he implies he had more notebooks with stories like that. Surrogacy attempts too. And though the final story isn’t in here,” Stu pointed toward Justin’s room, “They clearly got the kid. They fought for him. And after reading this I’d feel like an ass if I didn’t try something. Maybe sleeping together will jog a memory.”

Stu let all his feelings deflate while he talked, reading Daniel’s diary had been a trip. There were passages that were so full of emotion towards him. Well Steve, but still. Stu knew he was hot shit, but he’d never had anyone think of him the way this Daniel person had. Could any girl even match the passion and love Daniel wove into words he knew his husband would probably never even read?

Dan didn’t give it much thought, if Stu suggested it. It was worth trying. He hopped into the bed besides Stu. The two faced each other at first but it was too awkward and turned in opposite directions. Dan held his hand out behind him, and Stu, shocked at first, decided to hold it back. 20 minutes passed before Dan sat up in bed and blurted, “We should try making another kid.”

“Wha?”

Dan tapped Stu on the side, “If I got you pregnant before. I can do it again.”

“As if, didn’t you hear me. That’s not how that works. Even if we did. We don’t know how they got the kid.”

“Dude, I can do it I promise,” Dan got on top of Stu.

“Oh, no if anyone is going to be getting anyone pregnant it’s going to be me,” Stu flipped the massive bro around. The two ended up rolling around on the bed.

The next morning, Justin walked into his father’s room to see his two new ‘older bros’ on the floor. The sheets were tossed around as were the pillows. Both happened to be on their backs and spotted Justin.

“Were you fighting? Daddy says we can’t do that.”

“Oh no we weren’t fighting.” Stu panted.

“Yeah, we were trying to make you a little brother,” Dan cut Stu off before getting a smack to the head.

“Don’t listen to him. We just couldn’t agree on who should be doing a certain thing. Kept us up most of the night. When we woke up we tried again and still couldn’t agree.” Stu prevented Dan from running his yap. The jock didn’t understand the intricacies or etiquette talking to children. He’d be the guy who would say, “I totally plowed this chick last week,’ or something with no regard for who was around. Stu turned to Justin “What’s the matter? Are you hungry?”

Justin nodded his head eagerly. Stu laughed before scooping up the kid and taking him downstairs. He got Dan to follow them. Stepping into the kitchen was a bit overwhelming today. After reading through the notebooks Stu had an understanding that his old self was a cooking expert, but now his mind was at its limit grasping boiling water. Though to his saving grace, Justin wanted cereal. The young men exchanged glances at each other. Did they want a repeat of yesterday?

“We could try cooking something?” Dan suggested and Stu looked at the stove. That was just never going to happen. They decided to go with the cereal to just severely limit his sugar intake. But it became clear nothing was going to hold back Justin’s love of sugar. The two ended up taking him down to the beach so he wouldn’t ruin anything in the house.

Relaxing on the sand with a couple of girls was Jason. He grimaced as the two bros and son came walking down. The girls kissing all over him were quickly disappointed when he jumped up. He stomped over to Dan and Stu dragging them off by the arms.

“Seriously, what are you guys doing? This is all wrong.”

“What are you talking about?” Stu asked, confused.

“Okay, you dumbasses don’t get it—”

“That’s no way to talk to a bro.” Dan stepped up to Jason. He had a slight inch over the redhead.

“There’s an order to this. Losers come into that house. Elias makes them not losers. We all party to celebrate. Then you move the fuck out so that we can get to helping the next batch of losers.” Jason stopped talking for a moment. He pointed to Justin playing in the sand, then between the conversation. This should not even be happening.”

Stu chuckled, “Must suck to be you, but we can’t just leave that kid. “

“Oh, that kid’s the problem,” Jason snapped his fingers. He walked over and gripped Justin by the arm pulling him up.

“Get off of him!” Dan punched Jason down to the ground while Stu quickly went to Justin’s side making sure his arm wasn’t bruised.

“Dude, what the fuck! Why are you hurting a little kid?” Stu placed Justin behind him. “That’s not what bros should do!

“What bros should do? You guys just raised your hands against me.” Jason spat out sand as the girls he was with rushed to his side worrying over him.

That’s when footsteps trotted down from the deck to the beach. Elias was standing in swim trunks along with Trey behind him. The two seemed confused as to the scene they walked on.

“You’re going to get it now.” Jason stated before pointing over to the two. “They sided with that kid over me!”

Stu shook his head, “Elias, Jason was going all crazy. He was trying to hurt our so—” He locked eyes with Jason, “Our lil bro.”

Elias frowned.

Jason smiled wickedly, “Oh, you two are going to get it now.”

“Come.” Elias held out his hand. It was all he said as he locked eyes with Stu. Before Stu knew it, he was walking towards Elias and so was Dan. The two young men were powerless against Elias. Finally, it dawned on Stu that no matter how much he believed in Elias, they were not on the same level. Elias was not simply a “bro”. Trey and Jason worshiped him. Stu knew he and Dan did too. When he felt the power behind Elias’ eyes, Stu felt that it was possible the dude wasn’t even human.

“Kneel,” Elias commanded, and Dan and Stu dropped to their feet.” Why do you defend this child so much?” He questioned as Jason brought Justin over.

“Cause he’s a cool bro to hang out with,” Dan answered honestly. Elias smiled at that. A simple answer for a simple-minded bro like Dan. No more eloquent words to be had here. He was just a good-natured bro, practically a dog in human skin. Elias turned to Stu. Stu turned his head away but he couldn’t ignore the intense gaze bearing down on him. Like a hot iron pressed to his skin the truth was coaxed out of him.

“Look, I started reading Daniel’s journal.” Stu turned to Dan in awe. “He wrote about me. The gay me. He wrote about the kid. He wrote about himself and about us as a family.” Stu angrily turned to Elias. “You told us we were losers, but nothing I read about them hinted at that. They were just guys in love, and you changed that.”

Elias didn’t like the back talk. Stu as a jock should have been conceited and self-serving with only a lil bit of more brains than Dan. However, Stu had found something he shouldn’t have and was being disobedient. Those stupid books Daniel owned should have been transformed by Daniel’s touch.

“It’s the kid.” Jason dragged Justin to Elias. “He’s causing them to act all weird and not like our bros.” Elias looked down upon the kid. Justin tried but he couldn’t escape a jock’s grip. Stu couldn’t believe the amount of disgust he saw in Elias’ eyes, Jason’s eyes, hell even the girls who acted more like set pieces for the guy had annoyed expressions. Trey on the other hand was standing far back giving a sympathetic look to the former family. Jason continued, “I know you’d hate to do it but transform the kid. Then they won’t have a reason to act like this.”

There was no doubt Elias hated the idea. His perfectly sculpted face hid nothing about that. Then his body sagged as with a defeated look he motioned for Jason to bring the child closer.

Stu was pissed. He wanted nothing more than to punch his so-called bros. They weren’t bros at all. They were crazy people who were jealous of a child. More than anyone, Stu, wanted to go to Elias. He was the one in charge here. Leading his bros around like a fucking cult. But Stu couldn’t move after all, Elias had commanded him to kneel. But Stu’s anger was rising. His legs began to twitch. Stu flexed his foot. Then Dan shot by him.

“Keep your hands off my son!” Dan tackled Jason to the ground. Justin immediately ran behind Stu. The young jocks rolled around in the ground. Each was on top, then quickly but on the bottom. They were evenly matched. Elias sighed bored of the spectacle. He approached Justin at his own pace.

Stu shot up and locked arms with Elias, “You’re not touching our son either, psycho.” In appearance it was another display of young men locked in combat, though that’s not how it felt. Stu’s muscles were aching as he struggled to hold Elias back. Stu started sliding back in the sand. The two locked eyes and Stu lost himself, but only for a moment. Elias’ eyes were not a window to the soul. Stu had caught a glimpse of something indescribable. Elias was like a demigod or something. He didn’t change losers. He changed any male humans he wanted into young, virile jocks because he was fascinated with that demographic. Changing people was what he did. Young men fueled him; He despised the very young and the too old. Stu then felt it locked in arms Elias was changing him into a weaker jock. A jock that would worship Elias even more. Even without touch he was no doubt in Dan’s head doing the same thing.

Stu could hear Elias’ voice, in his head. It was a fucking mantra. Sex, sports, girls, and fucking. That was how people worshiped him. Stu’s mind was being dug into again, this time to strip the arrogance that could even make him think he ever stood a chance. Stu felt his back leg press up against Justin.

“Just give in bro.” Elias smirked.

Stu didn’t have to look to know the kid behind him was trembling. That was his kid. The one his loser-self fought so hard to get. That guy wasn’t a quitter and neither was Stu. “You can go fuck yourself, bro!” He growled pushing harder and Elias had to take a step back.

The smile on Elias’ handsome face faltered, Then Stu took advantage charging forward. Dan had wrapped Jason in a headlock, trapping him. Elias was pushed back as Stu’s body began to morph, stretching taller. Dan’s did the same. Their bodies became ticker as their muscle capacity grew. Stu found it effortless to step forward as his calves and thigh grew hair sprouting along them. The once smooth faces of Dan and Stu became gruff as facial hair in the form of afternoon stubble appeared on them both. The young men were aging up into full adult men. Elias was powerless to stop it. They went from Elias’ perfect handcrafted ken dolls into their own G.I. JOE action figures. Stu knocked Elias on the ground. Dan released Jason, who had passed out.

“How did you do—” Elias stammered. Everyone felt it. Stu, Dan, Justin, Trey and even the girls. The air had shifted. Elias was not the one controlling the shots. Somewhere in trying to change them, the two men had changed themselves. They weren’t young jocks any more, they were older. Out of the realm of Elias’ desire.

“You messed with our family.” Dan stood up. A beautiful reforged Mexican-man at 6’7”. “That’s a deeper love than you and your ‘bros’ will ever have.”

Stu at a proud new 6’5 cracked his neck. “ Why the hell would we want to be that young again? It’s a nice daydream but fuck. We fought hard for the life we had. It’s ours. Son and all.” Turning around Stu reached a handout to Justin.

“Papa?” Justin’s voice cracked.

The new reality was settling in. Only this time Stu and Dan had made sure their son was included in it. Justin ran to his dad, getting easily picked up.

Trey was stunned, “Dan, Stu how did you—”

“My name is Daniel. And my Husband here is Steve.” Daniel placed his thick arm around his husband’s wide back. His eyes hardened staring at Elias on the ground, “Don’t let us ever catch you here, or anywhere we are. EVER.”

Elias simply got up walking back into the house as. Trey retrieved Jason and the girls followed all silently staring at the family.

“That was so hot, bro” Steve said with Justin in his arms. “Oh, shit I’m still kind of broey.”

Turns out both men had a lot of jock and bro-isms flowing through their veins. Their original goal had been to turn back into themselves, but their desire must have been mashed with Elias gifting them new bodies. And what a gift! Not only were they younger and more fit. They could keep up with their son for hours on end.

At night, Daniel laid on his bed reading over his journals. “Wow, I was really in touch with my feelings and shit.” His new adult self could string together thoughtful sentences, but getting past Dan’s former empty headedness was a challenge sometimes.

Stu kissed his cheek, “You still are,” then he rested his head on Daniel’s shoulders. “If it wasn’t for your books and our amazing son, I wouldn’t have made it.”

Dan smiled sweetly. “Yes, you would have. You’re stronger than you think.” He reached over and kissed his husband. Steve got under the covers, going to sleep. The house next door was absolutely quiet. Elias and his posse had vacated the day after their scuffle. Jason was loudly arguing for them to retaliate, but Elias no longer wanted to remain in a place he had gotten bested.

In between the two men lay Justin passed out for the night. After staring at his son and husband in bed Daniel added one more line to his book, an ending. He turned off his desk lamp before hopping into bed himself. Every face in the room that night had a smile. As if they knew and had the words Daniel wrote down etched into their soul.

‘And they lived happily ever after.’
