Dr. Fate - Age Progression

This is an excerpt from a comic book Justice League Dark (2018) Issue #13. It's an updated visual for the retcon of the superhero Dr. Fate's origin story, BUT it did not create the recton. The original origin was recotnned years before this release. Essentially, a young boy, Kent Nelson and his father, archeologist Sven Nelson, are exploring a secret tomb, when Kent gets magically compelled to pull a lever that ends up releasing poisonous gas that kills his dad. The gas frees Nabu, an old mage/avatar of order, who ages Kent up so that his body can handle the magic knowledge he imparts on him.

I share this as a media example of age progression, also I had the JLD  pages on my Tumblr. If I was to say anything about the piece beyond the age progression, is the story's potential for drama, What do you mean a magic entity drove a father, into bringing his son on an expedition all so that it could kill the man, then age up his son to use as a host body? Not to mention, made the son unable to grieve his father's death. That's some good drama right there. Kent's emotions is some what touched on in another Dr. Fate series and the same JLD Issue but it's more of background an not the center focus.
