GAINZ: New (Ed)ition

The loss of their second home game for the Charlton Tigers was sad. There was a wave that left the whole team feeling defeated. They slunk back into their locker room barely looking at each other. Normally they’d be soaring as the best in the state but this year they sucked.

“Come on guys, that’s enough moping,” Christian Nuvell, captain of the football team, quarterback, and star player clapped his hands grabbing the team’s attention. “We tried our best out there and that’s all we can ask for. Besides no beating yourselves up, the coach is going to do that enough for all of us.” Normally the blond hair blue-eyed all-American jock could easily sway his team, but their funk today was almost unreasonable. His rousing words had no effect. Eventually he just shut up.

The coach came in and of course berated them. Why were they playing like trash at home when their away games had been just fine? A good question, but Christian was sure it could be chalked to bad luck. It happened sometimes. There was more to learn from losing than there was from winning. His team should learn that. Christian was the big man on campus with a beautiful smile, flawless skin, and the rumors about the size of his cock were true too. But he hadn’t started out that way, a love of football and a graceful puberty had put him on top. His teammates, he wasn’t so sure about. They all came from differ high schools, but he could even tell just by talking to them their world view. They saw themselves as top of the food chain at school and nothing else. Losing wasn’t even a concept they talked about until Christian was captain.

Sad to say, though he was their captain Christian, wasn’t really friends with the people on his football team. For good reason, if he didn’t keep himself in check, he’d end up just as self-absorbed, and these guys would let him. Heading to the showers Christian sighed to himself, coddling the soft egos of college seniors was annoying. Thank god his parents were intown. The moment this was over he was going to take them and his brother out for ice cream. He let water from the shower head wash away the dirt and stress.

He turned his shower off realizing that he was the last one out. Wrapping a towel around his waist he walked out. Coming into the locker room he found his teammates back in their regular clothes facing him in half a circle.

“What’s going on here?” Christian half chuckled thinking they were playing a prank. Not uncommon for their sports team.

“The team took a vote,” Joey Brier said sitting on one of the benches. “We don’t want you to be captain anymore.”

“Yeah, we keep losing because of you. You started talking up this losing bull shit now look at us!” Martin shouted. Mumbles in agreement sounded up behind him.

“Ugh, last time I checked this was a team. We lose and win together. The reason we didn’t win isn’t all on me.” Christian fired back.

“That’s not how we feel.” Lenard spoke.

Christian tried his best not to roll his eyes, but it was tough with the three stooges leading the charge. Joe was a calm, but bro-ey type of guy. Martin was a meathead through and through. Lennard just thought he was smart. When they all got together or thought together, their personalities only brought out the worst in each other. Though even then they practically functioned on 5 shared brain cells. That wasn’t saying much because Christian had seen his team’s grades before. C’s and D’s. Another reason the coach had made him captain was that he could lead, play, and study. A winning combination for most but not in his team’s eyes.

“You guys are being crazy, you need me. Not just for this team but to help you keep your grades up.”

“Nah,” Lennard said. “We’ll just get nerds to do our stuff.  I’ll admit you’re better to look at than most nerds, but beside that you’re useless now.”

“Oh yeah? And how are you going to replace me? Which one of you can be a QB?”

“Took care of that.” Martin had disappeared into the team only to come back out dragging a teenager. not just any teen though either it was Christian’s little brother. “Here’s our new teammate.”

“You have good genes so we were thinking he would too.” Joey added.

“Edwin, you okay?” Christian ran to his brother’s side pulling him away from his team. His brother was looking taller. Taller than the average middle schooler. Edwin’s stomach groaned as he fell into his big bros’ larger arms. “What the fuck did you guys do?”

“Here!” Lennard tossed over an empty container; Christian swiped it from the air. It read:

GAINZ: JOCK’EM EDITION.

“Oh fuck!” Christian dropped the canister. “Hey, Eddy, you gotta throw up you hear me. This shit isn’t good for you.” Christian never cussed in front of his little brother. Maybe because of his name, or maybe he liked being looked up to. The fact is it showed how serious he was to Edwin something the team hadn’t picked up on. Ed tried to throw up. Heck Christian even tried sticking his finger in.

“What are you doing it’s just GAINZ but for jocks” Joey stated.

Christian didn’t even have time to be mad. His team with their half a brain made a stupid decision. They probably pulled any brand off the shelf not even knowing what made the Jock’em edition different and dangerous. Normal GAINZ could make someone hot and athletic, sure but Jock’em went a step further. It could fill people’s heads with an obsession about a particular area with sports. Though that wasn’t all, one could become extremely talented if they lost something else. Famous artists became hockey players; dancers were lost to swimming. The trade of one exceptional talent for another. GAINZ could make a person good, but GAINZ: Jock’em, they were an indisputable legend. Give or take a few talents the fine print almost didn’t sound bad if not for the last caveat. Jock’em had a problem of making the drinker dumber. It was discontinued for a reason.

For Edwin his fate was sealed. He may not have been into sports, but he was one smart cookie. People in their hometown realized he was going to be a prodigy. Christina was so proud to call Edwin his brother, but now under Jock’em that intelligence and potential was about to be devoured. Edwin hunched as his body began to grow. It was rapid enough that he tore through his clothes in a matter of seconds. He was becoming strong as he was smart and that unfortunately meant a huge growth was ahead. Edwin’s face cracked when his jaw got sharper, and his neck thickened. His shoulder ballooned out as his arms became colossal.  Two pecs popped into existence as a mass of bulk traveled down his body beefing the guy up. His thighs were massive as his ass gained its own magnetic pull with how round it pressed out. The feet were the last remaining duo to lose the fight. They need to restrengthen to support the new body weight.

Edwin opened his eyes panting against his now smaller older brother.

“Welcome to the team captain,” Lennard clapped as did the rest of the boys.

Christian immediately told the coach about what happened.  The coach asked to see Edwin in action. Christian refused at first but eventually brought him back. They tossed the ball around and Edwin was exceptional. Not that there should have been any doubt after taking GAINZ: Jock’em. Edwin did end up transferring now that he was a college student. He could barely remember being smart. What he cared about was football, sex, and drinking. Jock’em had practically downloaded a new personality into him. Once he got on the team it was even worse. Christian thought he and the coach had an understanding that Edwin needed an outlet for his energy. But then one day coached benched Christian during an away game. Edwin took charge leading the team to victory.

From there the Tigers raked in the when. Edwin was a powerhouse all to himself. Christian couldn’t do anything but watch from the sidelines as his brother took over the team. Edwin didn’t do it maliciously, he was probably too dumb too, but the rest of the team did. Christian knew when he was beat and just quit. His brother had made him obsolete. He was the prototype for a much better model. Sometimes Christian would go watch practice to watch his brother play. Though he hated the team he could still appreciate his bro.

“If we win the next game, can you give me a piggyback ride?” Edwin had taken a break from practice, jogging over to his brother watching from the sidelines.

“Dude you’re like 200 plus pounds of muscle I can’t carry you anymore.” Christian hated to admit it.

“Please” Edwin put his hands together getting on his knees acting over dramatic. Though the act was for show the request certainly was not. Christian had found that sometimes Edwin would do things like eating ice cream for dinner or stuffing his mouthful of candy that would remind Christian his brother although all grown up had some childish traits that he quite shook even with his new self.

“Hey, Ed, stop talking to that nobody.” Lennard shouted from the field.

“Ed?”

“It’s my new nickname. All the guys get one.”  He patted Christian on the back. “See you later bro,” He put his helmet back on rushing on the field. Christian muttered to himself, “No one ever gave me a nickname.”

However, Christian knew one thing no matter how much of a stud his brother was. He couldn’t keep them winning forever. The team’s high came crashing down as even the coach broke his clipboard on the field that day. Christian knowing how crazy his team was, rushed to the locker room. Before he even reached the room, he could hear the coach yelling. Christian stayed outside while the players got berated. They even had to take their showers while the coach yelled, after all was said and done Christian walked him with his brother.

The next time he watched their practice coach had been running later than usual. That’s when Lennard, Joey and Martin came up to him, “You were right it wasn’t right to blame you for the game.”

“That’s really big of you to admit.” Christian said.

“Yeah, we should have been blaming the coach.” Martin added.

Christian’s face dropped. They didn’t get the problem at all. Many talented rich people had a nasty habit of passing the buck.

Joey cut him off, “Anyway, we were wondering if you want your spot back?”

“What about my brother ‘Ed’?” Christian said the nickname just to make sure they knew how much they’d pissed him off.

“Well, the team talked about it, and we realized with his amazing skills he should be the new coach.”

“WHAT?”

Lennard nodded “Yeah well I snuck some GAINZ into his sandwich during lunch.”

“You did?  I actually put some into his drink.” Joey admitted.  The two of them turned towards Martin.

“Uh, I just handed him a bottle of it and told him to chug the GAINZ.” Pointed towards the locker rooms.

Christian hopped up. They were beyond idiots. None of them had checked with the other to see who exactly would be giving Edwin the Gains? They all just did it. STUPID. Christian bolted towards the locker room. He could hear the grunting as he stepped in and through the door open. Edwin was kneeling, shirtless, one hand resting on the bench as his muscles stretched. Christian thought he had seen it all, but Edwin was getting taller. His torso broke out into a forest of hair. It traveled upwards coating his pecs. Next up was his face following suit with a dark shadow of stubble, then a full mustache came to life over his upper lip. His legs tore through his pants as he was left in nothing but his jock. Even that seemed to be struggling as his already sizable cock was going through another growth spurt as well. When it was said and done, he stood up as a new man. A coach that would lead his team to victory.
